Cliffs to restart Toledo construction in second half
US steel and iron producer Cleveland Cliffs plans to restart construction of its Toledo, Ohio, hot-briquetted iron plant before the end of the year, Kallanish hears on the company’s first-quarter conference call.
Construction of the planned 1.9 million short ton/year facility was halted in late March due to Covid-19. The facility was slated to have at least a full year of production behind it at the end of 2021.
