Cliffs increases iron ore expectations for 2016
Iron ore provider Cliffs Natural Resources has bumped up its full-year iron ore sales expectations, though its project hot-rolled steel price remains muted, Kallanish learns from the company’s second quarter earnings review.
Cliffs expects to sell 18 million long tons of iron ore in 2016. The company’s previous estimate of 17.5m lt was bolstered by an offtake deal with US Steel Canada for 500,000 lt.
