CITIC threatens Sino Iron shutdown within six months
China’s Citic has threatened to close down the Sino Iron mine in Western Australia in its latest move to add pressure on Mineralogy-owner Clive Palmer amid a series of law suits. It says that unless Palmer agrees to key permits, the operation, with its nominal capacity of 24 million tonnes/year of ore, cannot continue, Kallanish notes.
