CITIC Special’s profits fall despite higher turnover
Shenzhen-listed CITIC Special Steel in China has reported falling profit for the first half of the year despite turnover growing over the same period, Kallanish learns from exchange filings.
In H1, CITIC Special sold a total of 9.42 million tonnes of steel, compared with 7.68mt a year earlier. However, this is because the company has merged with Tianjin Pipe in January this year, and the latter had about 3.5 million tonnes/year of seamless pipe capacity.
