CISDI upgrades Shagang, Baosteel equipment
Eastern Chinese privately-owned steelmaker Shagang has improved the productivity of its No. 2 converter following the implemention of CISDI's new electric, instrumentation and computer system, Kallanish learns from a CISDI newsletter.
The system, which operates tilting, oxygen lance, evaporation, charging and feeding system of the converter, was installed within 15 days. The furnace is now onstream and achieving a higher output, the company said.
