CIS supports Turkey's January seamless pipe imports rise
Turkey's seamless pipe imports rose 2.6% year-on-year to 19,083 tonnes in January as increased procurement from the CIS offset the decline in intake from China, Kallanish notes from the latest Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data.
Compared to December 2016, however, January's seamless pipe imports were down -6.5%. The total average value/tonne of these imports fell to $923/t from $966/t a year ago.
