CIS steel output increases in June
CIS crude steel production decreased in June, according to the latest worldsteel data monitored by Kallanish. Regional output amounted to 7.4 million tonnes, up 1.4% year-on-year.
In May, production was at 7.7mt, up 2.8% on-year (see Kallanish passim).
In January-June, output was only 0.1% more on-year at 44mt.
Russian production last month is estimated to have decreased by 4.1% to 6mt. In the first six months of the year, output fell 3% to 36.8mt.
