CIS pig iron prices slide on new sale
CIS pig iron export prices came under more pressure in the past week, as buyers remained firm in their bid indications, well below sellers' initial offers. The forthcoming introduction of the ferrous steel products export duty in Russia from 1 August has contributed to sellers' eventually reducing their price expectations, resulting in two new sales to the US, Kallanish notes.
