CIS mills eye Poland, Severstal enjoys advantage: consultant
CIS mills have differing strategies when it comes to developing supply chains in Europe, but the major players are all focusing on the region, according to Metals Consultng International's Alexander Siryk.
Poland, as Central and Eastern Europe’s largest steel market, is the most important regional target for CIS steel suppliers. Severstal has a big advantage when supplying hot rolled coil here due to a lower anti-dumping duty than its CIS compatriots.
