CIS HRC prices decline under buyer pressure

Prices of hot rolled coil from CIS producers remained last week at their most recent lows, but bids declined amid iron ore dipping below $100/tonne mid-last-week and sufficient inventories. Demand in Asia remained strong early last week, enabling a Russian producer to sell a large lot to Southern Asia in a range of $920-940/tonne cfr, for several lots of various grades and sizes through a trader.
