CIS drives Turkey's June CR flats imports decline
Turkish cold-rolled (CR) flat steel imports decreased in June as sourcing from the CIS plunged, Kallanish notes from the latest Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data.
June's CR flats imports stood at 104,016 tonnes, down -25% year-on-year and -6.2% on-month. The overall average value/tonne of these imports surged to $1,065/t from $695/t a year earlier.
