CIS crude steel output decreases in April
CIS crude steel production decreased in April, according to the latest worldsteel data monitored by Kallanish. Regional output amounted to 6.55 million tonnes, down by -22.6% year-on-year.
In January-April crude steel production was 32mt, down by -5.2% on January-April 2019.
Russia’s estimated crude steel production totalled 4.7mt in April, down by -19.4% y-o-y. Cumulative steel output was 22.8mt, down -4.4% over the same period last year.
