CIS billet prices notch up further
The CIS billet export market remained mainly focused on sales to Egypt last week, although some bids came from wider North Africa and Turkey.
Turkish bids remain below sellers' indications of around $670-680/tonne cfr, netting back to $640-650/t fob, but being in the same range as domestic Turkish offers, the latter has been taking preference with Turkish re-rollers. Their bids are at a maximum of $650/t cfr for CIS billet, with no new sales taking place.
