Chongqing Steel commissions converter, starts caster construction
Baowu Group subsidiary Chongqing Iron & Steel (Chonggang) has put into operation a converter. Kallanish notes. It has also started construction of the No.4 continuous casting machine.
The No.7 converter, with a 2 million tonnes/year capacity, will improve the steel capacity of Chonggang's No.2 steel plant to 4m t/y by the end of January 2021.
