Chonggang commissions billet caster
Chongqing Iron & Steel (Chonggang) has successfully hot tested its No.6 continuous billet caster this week, Kallanish notes from the company.
The caster has been upgraded from five strands to six, over a period of about seven months. The new caster will give further support to Chonggang’s long products output, with a design capacity of 740,000 tonnes/year.
