Chinese wire rod prices stabilise despite overseas rise
Chinese wire rod export prices continue to remain flat, while overseas wire rod offers are rising, Kallanish notes. Although Chinese steel mills are also trying to raise prices, orders are coming in at lower transaction prices.
On Thursday, 6.5mm diameter mesh grade wire rod was assessed at $450/tonne fob China, unchanged from the previous week.
