Chinese wire rod exports pick up before holiday
The Chinese wire rod export market has picked up on Korean demand and reduced willingness of steel mills to supply, Kallanish notes.
Contrary to the downward trend of domestic prices, export prices of Chinese wire rod have slightly increased. Major long products mills in eastern China lifted their offers from $485/tonne fob China to $490/t fob. Available shipments are for March.
