Chinese wire rod exports remain bogged down
China's wire rod export prices have remained unchanged, and the market is very calm due to the Chinese New Year holidays, Kallanish notes.
Major Chinese steel mills’ wire rod prices are firm, and there is little volume left to order for March shipments. Eastern Chinese steel mills have raised their offers to $505-510/tonne fob China, although no material is expected to be booked in the near future.
