Chinese wire rod export prices rise
China's wire rod export prices have increased slightly this week and transaction levels are unchanged. While some high-priced steel mills lowered their offer prices, actual deal prices were higher week-on-week, Kallanish notes.
On Thursday, 6.5mm diameter mesh grade wire rod was assessed at $447-450/tonne fob China, up $4.5/t from the previous week.
