Chinese wire rod export prices jump
Chinese wire rod export prices have jumped this week following a hike in domestic prices, Kallanish notes.
Steel mills in eastern China are offering wire rod at $470/tonne fob China this week, compared with $465/t offers last week. The mills have not gained many deals as this price is at least $5-10/t higher than buyers’ bids, a mill source told Kallanish.
