Chinese wire rod export traders look at imports
Chinese wire rod export prices have risen slightly due to the increase in overseas markets. Traders are focussed on imports, however, with growing volumes booked for delivery late this year, Kallanish notes.
Major mills in eastern China and northern China have maintained their offers for several weeks at $450-460/tonne fob China. However, traders stopped short-selling the market, which has somewhat lifted overall market prices.
