Chinese wire rod export prices continue uptick
China's wire rod export prices continued to firm this week, even though the domestic market saw a fall in the middle of the week, Kallanish notes.
Due to recent export orders booked by mills, Chinese wire rod exporters raised their offers to $515-530/tonne this week. Some small-volume deals concluded at $510/t fob China last week.
