Chinese rod export quotes jump on domestic demand
China's wire rod export market has resumed its rise after the 1-5 May holiday. The strong domestic market has given additional support to export prices.
Offers for wire rod excluding tax have been fading from the market over the last week, and almost all export quotes now include the full 13% value-added tax, unless the cargos are already held offshore.
