Maintenance work to reduce Chinese steelmakers' iron output
Since China began its nationwide winter restrictions on steel production last week, a growing number of steelmakers have announced they will conduct temporary or long-term maintenance work to reduce production.
Three steelmakers have last week begun overhauls of their blast furnaces, which is expected to reduce iron output by 15,300 tonnes/day, Kallanish notes.
