Chinese trade rebounds from February but remains weak
Despite a rebound from a low February base, Chinese steel product imports and exports in March registered a significant decline from one year earlier, Kallanish learns.
Imports reached 1.01 million tonnes, up 6.4% month-on-month but down 23.4% year-on-year, according to customs data. The figure took three-month volumes to 3.22mt, falling 13.4% y-o-y, compared to a 7.9% drop in January-February.
