Chinese steel trade starts 2022 with a drop
China’s steel product imports and exports declined over January-February due to low domestic demand and last year’s high base, Kallanish learns from the General Administration of Customs.
Two-month imports fell 7.9% to 2.21 million tonnes, while exports stood at 8.23mt, dropping 18.8% from the corresponding period in 2021.
