Chinese steel production could fall for a decade
The decline in Chinese steel production this year could mark the start of a decade of decline, predicts Wu Wenzhang, president of SteelHome. The decline will continue with a -2.5% drop in 2016, he adds.
Although China’s export volumes are expected to remain high in the next couple of years, domestic demand could continue to decline, Wu told delegates to SteelHome’s 2016 China Steel Market Summit in Wuxi, attended by Kallanish.
