Chinese steel mills slightly increase construction steel prices
Major Chinese construction steel producers have slightly increased their late August ex-works prices by CNY 20-50/tonne ($2.99-7.48/t). Although early last week spot market long product prices dipped sharply by around CNY 100/t, they soon recovered and mills ex-works prices are still following the upward trend seen since mid-August, Kallanish notes.
