Chinese steel exports continue to fall in August
China exported just 6.52 million tonnes of steel products in August, a reduction of 27.6% year-on-year, according to customs data released on Friday. It is the fourth month in a row that Chinese steel exports have remained under 7mt. Import volumes grew again but more slowly than in the first half of 2017, Kallanish notes.
