Chinese stainless steelmakers halt production
The major Chinese stainless steel producer Beihai Chengde is just about to finish an overhaul of its plant and equipment. Another stainless hot rolled steel supplier, Oriental Special Steel, has now announced its intention to carry out maintenance on most of its production facilities in March. This work has reportedly been triggered by power outages, Kallanish notes.
