Chinese stainless steelmakers lower output on restrictions
Some Chinese stainless steel plants are being required to limit production from blast furnaces in order to reduce emissions during the national holiday in the first week of October, Kallanish notes.
Shanxi Taiyuan Stainless Steel will stop two of its three blast furnaces during the period of restrictions because of a lack of raw materials supply. This will also affect 25,0000 tonnes of output of stainless 400 series products.
