Chinese stainless steel output falls, international trade grows
Chinese stainless steel output fell 5.26% year-on-year to 16.354 million tonnes in the first half of 2022, according to the data released by the Stainless Steel Council of China Special Steel Enterprise Association, Kallanish notes.
Of that, the production of Cr-Ni series stainless, or 300 series, saw a y-o-y decline of 3.46% and stood at 8.023mt. But its share in total output was up 0.91 basis point to 49.06%.
