Chinese shipbuilding steel demand to stall in 2016
China’s shipbuilders are facing difficult times as the global shipping industry is heavily oversupplied, according to the latest report from the China Association of the National Shipbuilding Industry (Cansi). Its prediction of a slight fall in shipbuilding completions in 2016 suggests a modest decline in steel demand, Kallanish notes.
