Chinese scrap jumps on tight supply

Although scrap arrivals to steel mills increased last week, tight supply still supported an increase in scrap prices in China. On Friday, Kallanish assessed Chinese 6mm+ heavy scrap delivered to mills in eastern China's Yangtze River Delta at CNY 3,665/tonne ($574/t) including VAT.
