Chinese scrap gains with higher shipments

Chinese scrap prices rebounded last week, accompanied by a rapid increase in scrap shipments. On Friday, Kallanish assessed 6mm+ heavy scrap delivered to mills in eastern China's Yangtze River Delta at CNY 2,881/tonne ($394/t), including VAT. This is down CNY 7/t from Thursday but increased by CNY 23/t from the previous Friday.
