Chinese scrap drops on weak steel market
Chinese steel scrap prices declined last week, dragged down by the weak steel market.
On Friday, Kallanish assessed 6mm+ heavy scrap delivered to mills in eastern China's Yangtze River Delta at CNY 2,835/tonne ($392/t), including VAT. This is unchanged from Thursday and down CNY 21/t from the previous Friday.
