Chinese rebar turns down on demand

After successively breaking price records for 2020 and the past two years, the spot price of Chinese rebar has begun to fall, Kallanish notes. In Shanghai on Friday afternoon, 20mm HRB400 rebar was trading at CNY 4,040-4,050/tonne ($614-615/t), down CNY 75/t from the previous week.
