Chinese rebar struggles in instability

China's rebar market remained flat last week as high Covid infection rates brought trading to a standstill. In Shanghai on Friday afternoon, 20mm HRB400 rebar was trading at CNY 3,850-3,870/tonne ($551-554/t), unchanged on-week.
