Chinese rebar recovers on demand
The Chinese rebar market gained ground sharply last week under the dual stimulus of futures prices and strong demand, Kallanish notes.
In Shanghai on Friday afternoon, 20mm HRB400 rebar was trading at CNY 4,970-4,980/tonne ($765-767/t), up by CNY 75/t from a week before.
