Chinese rebar gains on output controls

Chinese construction steel prices rose last week on a policy push, but the move was weaker than expected. In Shanghai on Friday afternoon, 20mm HRB400 rebar was trading at CNY 3,670-3,690/tonne ($512-515/t), up CNY 40/t from the previous week, Kallanish assesses.
