Chinese rebar gains but demand holds

China's rebar market prices have skyrocketed again, reaching a two-year high since November 2018, Kallanish notes. In Shanghai on Friday afternoon, 20mm HRB400 rebar was trading at CNY 4,250-4,270/tonne ($650-653/t), up CNY 225/t from the previous week.
