Chinese mill's US bulk scrap order draws surprise
Market chatter that Shagang recently ordered US bulk scrap have surprised market participants in East Asia, Kallanish notes. China rarely enters the bulk US scrap market and some wondered why the mill would want to enter the market when scrap prices are at recent peaks.
