Chinese rebar ex-works prices mostly rise
Major Chinese steel plants have increased their mid-May rebar ex-works prices by CNY 20-50/tonne ($2.90-7.24/t). Shanghai rebar spot prices have remained relatively steady from Monday to Thursday however, despite fluctuating futures prices, Kallanish notes.
