Chinese longs producers maintain prices in early May
Major Chinese steelmakers maintained their prices for long products amid weak demand in the first ten days of May due to the four-day public holiday, Kallanish notes.
16-25mm HRB400 rebar prices at Shagang, Zenith and Yonggang were each set at CNY 4,250/tonne ($633/t), unchanged from late-April. However, Hegang Group added CNY 30/t to its rebar offers.
