Chinese longs' producers keep offers steady in late-May
China's major longs producer Shagang, Zenith and Yonggang have not moved their offers for a month. Although the current spot market demand has fallen, steel mills still hope to maintain their existing profit margin by maintaining prices, Kallanish notes.
For the second ten days of May, 16-25mm HRB400 rebar prices at Shagang, Zenith and Yonggang were each set at CNY 4,250/tonne ($633/t), unchanged from late-April.
