Chinese HRC edges up, awaits macro stimulus

Chinese hot rolled coil prices edged up last week thanks to positive expectations before the “Two Sessions” meetings in Beijing, Kallanish notes. In Shanghai on Friday afternoon, 5.5x1,500mm Q235 HRC was traded at around CNY 4,380-4,400/tonne ($635-638/t), up CNY 80/t from a week earlier.
