Chinese futures downturn cools ASEAN billet market
The ASEAN billet import market has steadied after rising the week before, Kallanish notes. Earlier expectations that a stronger Chinese domestic market will drive regional steel prices higher have been dashed by the reversal in the Chinese futures market.
