Chinese domestic HRC strengthens, export HRC struggles

Chinese domestic hot rolled coil prices went up last week, with deals apparently increasing, Kallanish notes. Export markets remained stuck however as Chinese prices are proving unattractive. In Shanghai on Friday afternoon, 5.5x1,500mm Q235 HRC was trading at CNY 3,600-3,630/tonne ($505-509/t), CNY 15/t higher than the previous week.
