Chinese car output stays strong despite seasonal decline
Chinese automotive output fell in April from March as the sector enters its seasonal slow period until the October holiday. Output was still up strongly year-on-year however, suggesting good steel demand growth from the sector this year.
China produced 2.17 million vehicles in April, down from 2.52m in March but still up 4.25% y-o-y, according to the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM). Of the total, 1.83m were passenger vehicles, up 4.47% y-o-y…
