Chinese automotive production hits record high
China produced 3.01 million vehicles in November, up 17.75% year-on-year and the highest monthly figure recorded, according to data from the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM). The sector has been one of the most reliable sources of steel demand growth this year although growth is expected to cool down to single digits in 2017, Kallanish notes.
